How are all you doin? I know, I know “it’s about time you guys updated the web page!”
The ‘boys apologize for their procrastination, and hope you blues fans are out and about enjoying all the blues music you can!!!
First off we have to pay our respects to two of musics best talents of our times.
We lost one of our idols on May 27th, Gregg Allman. The boys cannot express how much of an influence this man has been to each of us. The Allman brothers band was an inspiration and an example of what we would want to work so hard to be like. There are numerous times heading to and returning from gigs listening to the brothers, the masters of the blues. It made the nights very special! Thank you Gregg Allman.
Next, another icon, Chris Cornell, the distinct voice of a generation. From Soundgarden, to Temple of the Dog, to Audio Slave, to all his solo work, Chris was a constant in the music world. Such a gentlemen, rest in peace.
Of course there is no excuse for the long time between updates, but it was time well spent! The boys have been busy putting together a whole new set of music to bust out for the summer.
Here’s a look at upcoming dates:
First Vinnie and Bobby head to All Saints brewery on Thursday, June 8th. That’s like letting the fox in the hen house! Great home town craft brew and the Bad Boys unplugged. What a beautiful thing.
The next night, Friday, June 9th, the acoustic show heads to the hilltop club and shares the stage with “Crawdad Joe”. A night of continuous music that starts at 8pm.
On June 22nd Bobby and Vinnie hit a new venue, “Dal Forno” in Irwin PA. Please visit their web site At www.dalfornorestaurant.com. We start at 5:30.
The full band fires up on June 24th for a double duty gig night. The boys head to the Westmoreland County Fairgrounds for the Rib Fest. We take the stage at 4:30 and go until 6,then we pack it all up and head to the Ramada the same night for some more shakin’. What a great night; ribs and then dance the night away. The boys hit the stage at the Ramada at 9pm. Ribs and shakin’ it down, now that’s “the blues”.
To end the month of June, we perform at the “Westmoreland County Arts and Heritage Festival”
At Twin Lakes park on June 29th. “The Bad Boy Blues Band” takes the main island stage at 4pm.
The festival is one of the premier events of the season, and we are very honored to play there!
And we are just getting the summer season started!!!! July turns the heat up in more ways than one.
July gets started with Vinnie and Bobby heading to Applebee’s in Greensburg on Sunday July 2nd for an acoustic show on the outside patio. They have redesigned the patio with beautiful fire pits and a very comfortable, relaxing atmosphere.
Stay tuned, July just keeps getting better, and better. The ‘boys have stops at Jaffre’s and always the best gig of the year, the “TGIS” series at the Palace Theater in Greensburg.
So stay tuned!!!!!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you all for your support!!
and, as always
Keep on Blusin’
